Recycling can harm the environment. A shock, but it’s true, especially on windy Wellington days that result in residents – and council contractors – collecting strewn recycling before it clogs drains, mucks up gardens and pollutes waterways.

 

Tai Haronga and the ClearTide team have come to the rescue with the fabulous EnviroFlexiNet. This keeps recycling content safely in the open bin and has the thumbs up from Hutt City residents after a trial there last year. Of residents who used it, 99 per cent said they’d buy one at the right price. In fact EnviroFlexiNet seems to impress everyone who sees it. At the recent WasteMinz Expo in Blenheim, the EnviroFlexiNet was described as “the best bit of kiwi ingenuity around.” 
 

Tai hopes that New Zealand councils will commit to the product. It saves money on additional street cleaning and repairs and it keeps constituents happy as they enjoy clean streets – even on windy recycling days! Clean, green and kiwi made, what more could they want?
