Supple, full bodied, aromatic.

It was just the right combination of wine, food, art, and people at the exclusive RICOH client preview night of the annual 3, 4, five art exhibition held at Shed 11 on November 3.

The exhibition brought together the work of five renowned New Zealand artists and gave invited guests the first opportunity to buy their displayed work.

The long-running annual event has had RICOH as the primary sponsor for the last five years, with secondary sponsorship by Wines From Martinborough, and this year from Logan Brown.

Event Manager and Artist Lynne Sandri said the combination was one that people found hard to come by at traditional corporate events.

“People find in incredibly refreshing – there is no cardboard wine here and they are looking at contemporary art.

“To have just the right combination of elements – people really enjoy it.”

Sandri said the support of their sponsors was invaluable in putting the exhibition together every year.

Three hundred RICOH invited guests attended on the Tuesday night with approximately 600-700 guests attending on Wednesday.

Sandri said 80-90 per cent of the art was sold on the first two nights alone.

“It is such an incredible thing for RICOH to do – they used to take their clients to the rugby,” she said.
